Given the recent falls on world markets (which I'm heavily reliant on for funding this trip), I may not have to make a decision to return after all! I was reading that yesterday's fall on the ASX was the largest fall since the attacks of September 11, 2001 which makes my continuation unaffordable. I, like many others, have lost countless thousands over the last month... about $7000 which was to fund the final 3 months of this year. A huge risk, but travelling around the world is also a huge risk. Anyway, will continue to follow the markets closely and see what eventuates over the next 2 months.
The expense of Europe is also turning me off a lot..
. a hostel in Amsterdam, for example, costs 30 Euro ($55) to share with 4 others. I was lucky to get this... most other hostels in Amsterdam were booked out even though it is a Monday/Tuesday! I'm quickly losing my appetite to continue travelling. Travelling through Europe has become extremely expensive... quickly getting out of the reach of budget travellers. Anyway, enough of the s***** news... I'm off to go explore the northern part of Ireland. Might as well enjoy, what may be my final 5 days of the trip. I'm really looking forward to hitting Aussie soil again and meeting up with my family and friends... missing you guys! Jule... I can't believe that your prediction has basically come true... have you been reading those cards??????????????????????????? Can't wait to have a drink with you next week.
I had a relaxing day yesterday... spent most of the day at the B&B. I plan to do a drive to the most northern part of Ireland today. Apparently, it is north Ireland's most visited region.
