Travel to Yellow Mountain

I really had the apptetite for travelling today, for I found the 5 hour bus journey between Hangzhou and Yellow Mountain very relaxing and enjoyable. I'm in really good spirits today... having my own room last night was the best medicine possible. Being away from Bryan was much needed. I spoilt myself with a very nice, long bath... so needed in a place like this.
The journey was absolutely beautiful, passing through spectacular mountains, villages and scenery, including yellow flowers everywhere. See the photos! Bryan is amazing... on arrival at one of our transfer points, he had the audacity to lose it at our leader, Ciao for not having our transfer bus parked no more than 2 metres from our pick up van... the bus was parked about 5 metres away... he complained quite violently... we tend to think that he has been in the army, despite his assurances that his working life was spent in adult education. I just had to look away for I felt quite embarrassed. After everything, our new guides moved the bags between buses. Maybe the culture shock is affecting him more than I... but I'm surprised for he has been to this country 4 times. Talk about a difficult man.
I've developed a higher level of appreciation for our leader, Ciao, for he really took the time to talk to me about the issues I was facing with the Chinese culture and the difficulties I've been having as of late. It was refreshing for him to open up to me after having a few difficult days/interactions with him. We are getting on very well now, and having my own space is really helping me deal with things a lot easier here. The hotel we are staying at is sensational, situated in a most amazing scenic part of Yellow Mountain. Pity about the weather though... very misty and wet. It was relaxing sitting in the hotel's lobby on comfortable sofas drinking the night away with my favourite people on this tour... Rachel, Judy and Ari.
