Rowan from Singapore's New Story Hotel was right. According to Rowan, most travellers experience diarrhoea in their first week or two. I was desperate to get through the hotel's breakfast this morning given that I paid a lot for it. I had to go the toilet during the cooked part of the breakfast but managed to eat heaps, so much that I didn't have to eat until late evening.
But on returning to my room, the runs had set in. I quickly resorted to my first aid kit and had a dose of gastrolyte. This worked absolute wonders... so much that the runs had dried up within hours. Thank goodness for that!
But as I write, I am suffering from red dots all over my body. If my diagnosis is right, they are probably sandfly bites from Taman Negara
Today, I was lazy and took a city tour. Couldn't be bothered doing it by myself today. And having limited time in this city meant that I wanted to see as much as possible. So for $20, I got to see KL's twin Petronas towers from a distance, a very impressive national monument, the country's version of Buckingham Palace which included a changing of the guards (can you believe it!), and a couple of shops including leather bags. Talk about exciting!:) I also spent half an hour going up and down the town's sky tower. I'm sorry, but nothing beats Toronto's sky tower. The tour, like many others was very rushed but gave me some interesting facts about the city. In terms of low income housing, there are many cheap apartment buildings that charge RM124 a month for the inhabitants to live ($40). They are awful to look at and are everywhere. Australia's low income recipients are living it up compared to these people.

. They could also be bed bug bites. I'm using Stingose to help soothe the itchiness. In examining my backpack this morning, I noted some sandflies left inside the bag.
