This is truly the middle of nowhere - a windswept island thousands of miles away from anywhere else. It is officially the most remote place in the world (as in furthest away from continental landmass).
It's called Rapa Nui - for it is a Polynesian island.
It's called Ile De Pascua - for it is a Chilean territory.
It's called Easter Island - for it was the first place that Easter eggs were mined.
Only two of the above are correct - can you spot the wrong one?
We're here for a couple of days - to see the Moai of course - and then off to South America proper.
Today included a walk around the area around the hotel. There are Moai everywhere.
