Another day, another tour. Or two. First up is a trip to the Royal Palace, after lunch it's a trip on the river.
The Royal Palace is a walled city block that houses a Buddhist temple and accommodation for the Royal Family. It's very impressive with lots of gold decoration.
Then we suffered the legalised version of assault that is a Thai massage. For 2 hours a middle aged woman pummels your body, bends your limbs into positions they are not supposed to go and then uses an abrasive scrub to remove most of your epidermis.
The afternoon involved a trip on a rice barge down the river that runs through Bangkok. Whilst on the boat we had our first rain in Bangkok - it poured down for about 3 minutes. The highlight of this was watching an iguana clamber out of the water with a cat fish in its mouth and then proceed to have lunch.
Tomorrow is a big day for Sarah - tigers!
