Well the weather really tried to mess up our plans for today.

The forecast was for heavy rain. So we had planned to take the MTR to Kowloon and visit some museums. Based on our previous form we estimated that it would require 16 in total to keep us busy for the day.

Well guess what? It didn't rain at all, in fact it was bright and sunny all day and the humidity even dropped a bit.

So we took the Star ferry to Kowloon and wandered around there anyway.

First stop was a park. Nice place to sit in the sunshine and just to annoy Sarah they switched off the fountains just after we got there.

Then it was off to the space museum to see if we could figure out where Sarah comes from. This meant that there were lots of interactive bits to play with and Shane kept up his reputation as ruler of the dark side by destroying the universe on several occasions as he couldn't get the planets to orbit without crashing into each other / the sun.

We then went to the planetarium and watched a film about lions - well I watched, I think he just slept through most of it!

There was a large amount of wandering through shopping centres as well, they are easier (and cooler) than walking along the roads and many of them are inter-connected. One of them was the length of a street and has 600+ shops. There was also a little stop in Shane's new favourite shop - Shanghai Tang - so he could spend even more money. He's such a clothes horse!

Finally, we wandered back to the promenade to watch the sound and light show across the harbour. It was, erm, different. The light show was the buildings themselves plus some green lasers.

The weather forecast is now suggesting that the typhoon is due to sweep past tomorrow. So, do we plan to visit 16 museums tomorrow or do we ignore it and assume it's gonna be sunny?

Sarah is unable to help in the decision making process as she has completely gone to pieces and is close to tears - there is an $8 discrepancy between the cash we have and her spreadsheet!
