Before we even get close to an airport, Sarah - being the drama queen that she is - announces that she has hurt her back. After no sympathy (oi! that was supposed to say much sympathy) things got underway.
First stop was somewhere neither of us had been before, Terminal 5. It's modern, quite quiet, got some interesting shops and it's an airport. It is, of course, still part of Heathrow so we were 40 minutes late taking off.
Having got Sarah checked in the BA person announces that my seat has been changed to Business Class! Hurrah! A check then reveals that Sarah has also been upgraded (oh well!). This means access to the BA business lounge, better food and entertainment in flight and a big seat with loads of legroom that turns into a flat bed. A vastly more civilised way to spend 13 hours or so. Thanks to Jane and her BA friend for sorting this out for us.
