Sunday 15th August

Up early and refreshed after no bier yesterday. We packed up the tent, with rain clouds looming we didn't want a wet tent again, made some breakfast and we were back on the road again.

It rained all the way to Goslar, a 1000 year old city. We wandered around had a coffee and some apple strudel with the witches that are so prominent in this town.

How much rain can fall in Europe? We keep being told that this is 'not normal’ for summer. There must be a rain cloud over our car following us. The rain is making it difficult to go really fast on the autobahn.

We decided to find somewhere to stay in Hannover for our last night in Germany before we head over to Holland for 6 days. We found a place on the internet; looks can be deceiving in the net that’s for sure. This hotel met the criteria for free wifi and parking, but it is lacking in every other area!  At least we are not camping in the rain. It begun at 10am this morning and has not stopped, it looks like it will continue all night too.

We might just stay in tonight and check out Hannover in the morning.
