What I did
Tiger- the ultimate predator

Flag of India  , Rajasthan,
Wednesday, February 8, 2012

It was a winter evening when we started our journey leaving
the mountain of stress behind from Delhi (INDIA) to Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. By road it took us around 9hrs to reach the land of tiger. Ranthambore National Park is a major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has pulled the attention of many Indian and International tourist. One can find from Luxury hotels to budgeted hotels according to the need. After freshen up in the hotel we started off for our safari .With the butterflies in the stomach we left for
the search of Indian jungle King “ The Tiger”. Hotel staff can arrange for the jeep/canter whichever is available. Please note it is really difficult to get a jeep during the pick season as
tourist flock from around the world. Hence it is advisable to book it in

I was stunned by the mesmerizing beauty of the wildlife park. There are many water bodies located all over the park, which provide perfect relief during the hot summer months for the forest inhabitants. A huge fort, after which the park is named, towers over the park atop a hill. The view from the fort cannot be expressed in words. Ranthambore is home to many wildlife
species main attraction being the tiger one can also able to catch glimpse of  leopards, wild-boar, deer, langurs and different varieties of birds. Surrounded by flora mostly dry deciduous which makes this place more remarkable and animal sighting easy.

The search is still on for the majestic animal. Once you are in the park you will be experiencing all sorts of alarm calls mostly from monkeys and deer. For tiger sighting one needs to be lucky enough to view a tiger in its own habitat. First day safari got over without any luck for tiger
sighting. With deep pain in the heart we came back to our hotel. Hotel staff
has arranged for a lovely folk music for its guest so we enjoyed our evening.

Early next morning we again started off for our safari with deep hope to catch a glimpse of the world famous carnivore. After wait of almost 2hrs finally we were able to sight the world’s most beautiful and magnificent animal that is TIGER. I count myself as one of the luckiest tourist to encounter the majesty in his own habitat.
With mixed feelings had to leave this outstanding land and will treasure this memory for lifetime.
