The next days I was still store from the exertion and felt left bit languid so I spent a lot of the time reading and sleeping, unaware that thanksgiving was soon approaching
Roasting a turkey the traditional way was out of the question. Our oven had a warning sign posted on the door saying that the fuse to the house would blow if we attempted to use it. I pondered my other options. Microwaving a turkey would just be gross and pan frying could be messy. I really didn't need a whole turkey either. It seem rather excessive considering I had spent most of the week living off vegetables. I did some reseach and found where a restaurant in walking distance that could make me a roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Even better, they could make it to takeaway. I was really excited. I had been spoiled with a lot of amazing food on our Alaskan cruise but it's not until you have gone without that really appreciate it. I couldn't wait to taste the richness of the turkey or the sweetness of the pumpkin pie.
I'd tried to get company in my quest for turkey but was unsuccessful getting takers. However I was still able to have my dinner with some of the other people I'd met in the hostel. It was a very enjoyable me and was definitely satisfying enough for me.
Update: I've been offered the Drug Mart Position. It is an initial one month contract helping to set up their new store. I will be signing the paperwork on Tuesday if all is agreeable.
