What a sight to be on an island(or two)and gaze up at the night sky absolutely littered with a myriad of bright stars in constellations exclusive to the southern hemisphere!! Nearby islands are black silhouettes and the gentle waves lap within 10 meters of my basic bungalow/  Spent two nights on Kanawa Island and three on Soriya Island.  The concept was R & R---rest and relaxation with a healthy dose of two to three hours of snorkelling.                                                             On Kanawa swam with a few baby 3 foot reef sharks, a small turtle, a large parrot fish and an amazing looking pulsating orange and purple jellyfish with foot long orange tentacles. DON'T TOUCH!!  On Soriya swim with barracuda, a baby lionfish(watch out for its poisonous spines), trumpet fish, porcupine fish and many more to numerous to mention.                                          Then back to Labuanbajo to book my flight back to Denpasar.

That sounds wonderful. It's so rare these days to find a spot where you can gaze at a starry sky. It reminds me of Monte Alegre do Sul back at the time when there weren't street lights. The nigh was so dark and the sky so full of lights! Ah, good old days!!!
