Casa Goerthe organized a ½ day trip to nearby Laguna Grigri, Playa Caleton, and Playa Grande after class.  After a quick bus ride to Laguna Grigri, we got into a small boat for a tour through the mangrove forests.  The boat ride through the forest was OK.  A bit later we got to the open ocean, and the water was incredibly crystal clear.  We cruised down the coastline a bit and stopped for a minute into the 'Swallows Cave," to see a bunch of birds flying around in the cave.

We then went to Playa Caleton, where we hung out for a bit, and then went back into the bus to continue to Playa Grande.  Playa Grande is a really nice beach.  We didn't do too much there, but enjoy the view.  Frank rented a boogie board and had some fun in the waves.  All in all, it was a nice break to do something different and enjoy some time on the beach.
