Over the weekend, we met with Frank's friend Ilka for a breakfast in Kreuzberg, then made our way to the lovely town of Potsdam.

Ilka first took us to The Belvedere on the Pfingstberg Hill, a summer palace built by Frederick Wilhelm IV in 1863. It has a fantastic view from the top. With a lot of detailed designs on the ceilings.

We also visited the The Russian Colony Alexandrowka. The colony was created 1826-27 and former members of a Russian soldier's choir were the first inhabitants of these buildings.

The stop at Krongut Bornstedt was quite interesting, a bunch of buildings restored in 2001 Schloss Belvedere in Potsdam

.  There was a court brewery, distillery, bakery, cafe, and some other traditional handicraft stores (milliners, pewterers, weavers, potters and candle-makers, glassblowers).  There's even a traditional barber shop and and 19th century perfumery.

We made couple other stops at the New Palace and the Orangery.

Our last stop was a quick walk through Brandenburger street in downtown Potsdam with the funny Rhino statue.

We returned back to Berlin and met a few of Franks friends.
