8/6/2010 Friday
Skip played golf first thing and then we took the bus into Dublin and went to Trinity College to take the Hop on Hop off bus to see parts of Dublin and places we want to see.  First, we got off the bus at Christ Church.
We next went to the Guinness Storehouse  where they have a bar at the top with beautiful views.
Then we went to Phoenix Park which is the largest enclosed park in Europe, with a Circumference of 11km (7m) and a total area of 712 hectares (1,760 acres). Situated 3km (2m) west of the city centre. Ornamental gardens, nature trails, and broad expanses of grassland, separated by avenues of trees, including oak, beech, pine, chestnut, and lime. Livestock graze peacefully on pasturelands, deer roam the forested areas, and horses romp on polo fields.   I tried to take pictures of the animals, but in a moving, bumping bus, it doesn't work too well.  Then we went to the Jamison Distillery - Irish Whiskey - but the photo I took was terrible so I deleted it.
To get to the North of the River LIffey, you go across the O'Connell Bridge named after Daniel O'Connell.  In case your Irish history is weak, Daniel is known as Ireland's Liberator for founding the "Catholic Association" and for demanding Irish Catholic rights in the British Parliament.  The other bridge has no special distinction.

8/7/2010 Saturday
We think we didn't do much but we cannot remember!  We know we packed for our trip to Galway the next day, but nothing significant happened that day.
