San Agustín del Valle Fertil is a really quiet, rural town in Valle Fertil which is famous for having the oldest know dinousaur remains. We spent a total of 3 nights away from Mendoza here getting to know the town and spending time in Talampaya national park and Ishigualasto (or Valle de la Luna) provincial parks. Both are spectacular with amazing rock formations of astounding colours, some covered in ancient drawings and fossils, aswell as plentiful flora and fauna including condors, armadillos, patagonian hares, nandus and tonnes of spiders and snakes. We saw many of these, although thankfully no spiders or snakes!
