Shanghai Aquarium, lunch and then scatter

Our tour ended today with a morning trip to the Shanghai Aquarium.  This was a perfect activity as it was raining today.  The aquarium was very nice - three stories with fish from all over the world.  Not only did they have a tunnel that you could walk through but they also had an escalator tunnel.  I took a few pics just to give you an idea of the people.  It was pretty crowded.  Today is Dragon Boat Festival Day so we think that was the reason for the huge crowds over the weekend.

After the aquarium, we headed to lunch and then we had an open afternoon to do whatever we wanted.  Well, we had been waiting for this time all week so everyone scattered to do there last minute shopping, tours, restaurant visits, etc..

I am sorry if I do not have that many pictures of your family member.  I try to take whoever I can when they are around me.  I am sure that you will see tons of pic when they get home.  As you can tell in many of these picture the kids are not looking at my camera because there are 9 of us trying to get the same shot so it is tough to know which camera to look at.  This is the most photographed generation ever!  I did go back and add the schedules for days 4 and 5 (May 29th & 30th).  I also added a few video clips.

The kids made short little clips that I have attached tonight (There is a clip for everyone but they are taking forever to upload but we will get them all on).  They have all been absolutely wonderful.  We really thought being together for 2 weeks with a super full schedule that there would be some melt downs or problems but they have all been exceptional.  They have interacted with our tour guides, hotel staff, and Chinese who we have come in contact with in a very mature manner.  They have also gotten along with each other extremely well and all been a pleasure to travel with.

We are really looking forward to the morning Mag-Lev ride to the airport and HOME to our families!!

What a wonderful job you did in posting this blog. You're a STAR!
It was a real pleasure 'following' such a lovely group of young people. Such a well organised trip, an experience to be treasured, I'm sure.

We SO enjoy Cameron and Sharon. They really are world travelers. It sounds like you started the girls on their adventures when they were young and they are carrying it on with their own families. That adventurous spirit is being passed down in your family. Maybe Sharon and Cameron can lead a New Zealand field trip next year.
