Exploring Auckland

It was a great sunny morning, fine weather, Housen brought us to Western Springs Park. It's a spacious park and loads of goose. Feeding them with bread is a common sight and the children had great fear/fun feeding them.
Next stop is to Winter Garden/Tropical/Fernery. Plants are distinctly classified under these 3 catagory and it was an amazing journey through the foliage, most of which we had never seen before.
Parnell Festival of Roses had just ended a week ago. Nevertheless, many are still in full blossom, some as big as the size of a face.
We had lunch in a foodcourt in town. Parking was hard to get and very costly, too.
We took a lazy afternoon walk by Viaduct Harbour.
Housen led us to the beach front, called Mission Bay. Here, you see lots of families with young children, playing happily by the beach. Housen pointed out the location where he sometimes sails to for a good catch.
Talking about good catch, we drove to a wholeseller that offers Fresh Seafood. There were a great variety of seafood here, with oyster and scallop now in season.
We didn't buy anything as there was a dinner with Ginnie's family planned for this evening.
