So first off shane arrived yesterday.
With very lil complications he missed one flight due to no error of his own... and bought one flight for the wrong month, some how he lucked out and the credit card purchuse didnt go through and he managed to get a last second flight for 1 hour later then he had hoped, what luck.
Bargaining in Peru
Pretty much EVERYTHING is up for negiotiations in peru (prices are sugested)
Things iīve bargained for a better price ( acedently or on purpose)
1 hour of internet reg price 1.50 got it for 1 dollar, used walk away technic
enterance to churches So in plaza de armas in cusco they charge you to visit the churces the wanted 10 dollars to go into the church! so i was like whoa way to much, and the lady goes ok how about 2 for one.... BTW i dont like this concept of paying to go into a church.
Boat rides in puno, They wanted 3 soles for gringo 2 for locals, out of principle this was stupid and i got the prices down for all gringos.
Meals, if you play it right you can get free wine or pisco sour with your drink, and if you really play it right you can get free garlic bread.
Happy hour.
If you play this one right, Its always happy hour, as well the happy hour prices are just a starting point.
Hostel rooms beds, obviously, but has to be a less popular thing.
Taxi prices... obviously
Everything in the market.
Bus tickets, Admititly its gotta be from the shaddier bus companies, rule of thumb if there yelling and screaming out at you were they go, the price will be negiotiable, as well if rather then a computer they just have a piece of paper with a bus and seats drawn on it,prices are up for negotiations.
Night club Cover charge, learnt this one from my latin friends, Act like a ignarent gringo and just push through the door, no one wants to deal with ya, or try to speak english, if they do make a big deal about it, its my first day here and my country you dont have to pay.
Things you canīt bargain, they can smell on you that you really want something, this is there livilyhood....
Donīt ask me why but we really had a hard time getting shane a pair of shoes, especially coz he has big feet in a lil feet kinda country.
The plan for this week
First mom happy b-day Hope you guys do something special for it :D
Second tomorrow im off to agua calientes which is the last stop before macchu picchu.
Then first thing in the morning on wednesday we go up to macchu picchu
We get back to cusco thursday afternoon, but dont stay a night we just go streight to the bus station catch ourselfs a wonderful 21 hour bus ride to lima.
(spent the extra couple bucks for a full cama seat hope its good)
Then we get to lima, will try to party the weekend there and then off to ecaudor either sunday or monday.
As you can tell since shanes only got 9 weeks and he flys home from cancun, our plans are becoming more ambitious, which as im pretty happy about after killing a week in cusco just waiting for shane.
Im really looking forward to getting to some new and exciting countries.
Well thats my massive update that no one will read, but one day iīll look back at my adventures.... i think
Ciao
