So the last few days have been pretty fun, but very tiring.
Wednesday i met up with an ozzy buddy of mine i met back when i was in salta argentina.
Turns out he had met a very successful chileano buienessman who owns a lot of property, one of which is a beautiful piece of land just outside santiago with horses, he had invited rowan (the ozzy) to go horse backriding with him, and rowan invited me.
Latinos
So As is pretty typical in latin america, even the successfull are very unorganized, once we met up with rowans friend, we still had to get everything together which by the time we went to all of his properties (i think he just wanted to show off a bit to the gringos) and he pointed out all the stuff he owns, and we picked up the saddles and the beer and everything else, we left at 3pm had everything together by 7pm
At the campo (ranch)
Then once at the camp, we had to put the new saddles on etc... Honestly i have no idea how any of this stuff works, so i mostly just drank beer and watched.
Andar con caballo
so finnally once everything was said and done, we went for a nice leasurly stroll on the hill sides of santiago, it really was worth the wait the view was spectacular, really special, Then we rode off into the sun set (litterally)
Asado (BBQ)
After horse back riding, we had a awesome asado, And did it the really old fashion gaucho way, Collected branchs and stuff to burn, One of the guys even made bread, like i said a really cool and unique experiance the average person misses out on.
The next morning
Well i arrived home from the ranch at 4am, i figured 11pm so yeah bout 5 hours later then i expected, but thats to be expected in south america, regardless a great time and great experiance.
The next morning Leslie greys sister woke me up at 9am, to goto fantasialandia (fantasyland) its interesting that when our mall in edmonton had that name the disney corperation made us change it....
Anyways fantasyland is you typical amusement park, and he what better to do when your hung over and havnt slept much then goto an amusement park full of spinny rides :D
Enterance and to use all the rides was about 12 bucks. I think in canada for Kdays that just gets your ass in the door eh?
Food and such was resnably priced.
Overall a good time, but after 8 hours in the sun and spinny rides, i was ready for bed.
