The Mexican good bye.
So supposedly To leave Mexico by land there's a 20 us dollar departure tax, but i was told its BS then they threaten not to stamp your passport.
Entering Belize
The Belize boarder is pretty straight forward what surprised me most was they actually ask you some questions, one poor English fellow got pulled into a private room for further interrogation and never caught the bus... i will note that he was on his 4th Mexican boarder run.
The funniest part about entering Belize was the immigration guy asked us where we were going and we saying "the cayes" but pronounced it in Spanish but Belize is a English speaking country so its pronounced KEYS, he got a good laugh outa that and let us continue on.
First impressions.
So Belize is a really interesting country as its a English speaking nation with a large African American community i was expecting that....
There is also a large Latin community... But it seems as though every shop and hotel and restaurant in this town at least seems to be Run by people of Chinese decent.
Belize and orange walk are defiantlty a country unto themselves for central America.
Upon arriving in Orange walk it was already really dark and very wet from all the rain, as we looked at people they all looked a tad bit off, some faces were extremely grime, and then a witch yes a witch drove by... Then i seen a walking dead person.
Turns out it was Halloween And had completely slipped our minds
News update.
So Central America has experienced extreme rain the past few weeks and the rainy season is just coming to an end, how much rain you ask? apparently so much rain that the Belize Guatemala boarder crossing had been temporarily shut down because the bridge had been flooded, As well the hostel my friend recommended me to check out in orange walk that's on the river with a great view apparently has been flooded out.
