Well i gotta admit i had a really tough start to this trip. ironicly in the most common tourist destination in latin america.

Some how I landed in cancun and i never cleared imigration anywhere, when i cleared customs i asked where my stamp is and they sent me to a place that was closed, Then i got sent to the international arrivals area, they sent me to the airline, the airline told me to buy a new ticket because i wasnīt aloud into the secure area without a bording pass, and the secure area was the only way i could get a entry stamp...

after about 90 min of runing around in circles asking everyone for help one guy from the taxi stand went to the imigrations stand and got a imigration officer to come.

The imigrations officer was not really interested in making things easy for me at one point he was telling me i had to goto the boarder now to get a new stamp! after what seemed like a life time of arguing he finnaly gave me my stamp and i was off.

I arrived at my hostel at like 10pm which was 3hours laters then i had planned
by then i went to call my friend andreas friends that live in cancun but her cell phone was already turned off thus killing my chances of experiancing anything remotely close to mexico in a city that is over run with gringos.

So instead i just stayed in the hostel bought some beers and relaxed after a long crazy day.

DAY2
Today i met a girl from switzerland and we took the local city bus to the hotel zone and walked around everythings really expensive, we also explored the beach area, can anyone tell me why the beach is so tiny? the hotels seem to be build right onto the ocean maybe leaving you 3m or 9 ft of beach space, as well they make it incredible difficult for none resort guests to gain access to the water front, and of course difficult to get out afterwords.

The weather
Has been very very very humid, as its been raining the past 3 weeks strieght today was not so bad it rained a little bit and then was just overcast which wasnīt so bad as it was HOT even while overcast and raining.

Spanish
So iīm not sure if my spansih has become super shitty or my gringo accent with uruguayian pronounciation is just really strange, plus the words arnīt coming to my mind as fast as iīd like AND Everyone in cancun speaks TONS of english like wow and coz theres so many tourists i havnīt really been given the opertnity to even practice my spanish except of course my 90 min of hell trying to explain what happend and what i want,no one in that situation seemed to speak english of course.
in that case i was pretty well understood except for i kept saying sello with the uruguayian pronouncaition and it seemed to confused people a bit.

anyways thats my rushed update, The good news is things can only get better from such a start it looks like the suns starting to shine and hopefully i can get back into my travel groove.

Cheers
