THE CARIBBEAN CRUISE CONTINUES
As part of the same cruise that took me to the Bahamas, I also visited the wonderful La Romana, Dominican Republic. Being back in my country on my own terms was beautiful. My favorite stop, aside from the rich Casa de Campo, was the "Altos de Chavon," which is a recreation of a medieval European village set amidst a beautiful tropical background.

Thanks for the info. We'll be leaving for the D.R. in just 2 1/2 weeks.(I can't wait)
I'm trying to get some ideas on places to go since this is my first time to the south side of the island. I think Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavon sound like they're worth checking out.
Thanks, JJ
