THE NEIGHBORING "BIG" CITY
Today I realized that Ciudad Colon is a much closer walk than the town of Piedades, which is where I had been going for my grocery shopping and general exploration needs. Ciudad Colon also has much more going on and is a much bigger city. I enjoyed my truly leisurely walk (a reward after such a strenuous morning hike!)

In my stroll, I was able to locate the post office, city park, a video rental shop, internet cafe with printer, bookstore, and a wonderful supermarket with much better prices than I had seen elsewhere. Best of all, I was able to accomplish all of this before the rain hit today at 3pm!
