Well we got to New Orleans and it was great. Sein always coming up trumps of course got us a fab hotel down in the French Quarter (Place D'armes) i recommend it to anyone if you ever get there so we checked and relaxed for the day as we had done another 12 hour bus journey which means we didnt sleep.
Its such a fab City New Orleans even after Katrina its still managed to keep its quantiness and its charm. The French Quarter is something in itself. Small winding little streets lead into one another its great, and of course we took the legendary stroll down Bourbon Street and hit the bars and also of course we paid a visit to Pat O'Briens. I was too keen about the prices but it was worth it for the craic.
Sein will kill me for not putting this first but we went to see a live Jazz Band at Preservation Hall, where all the great Jazz Legends got their start. It was incredible. We also got to go and do a swamp trip durning the day (Seins idea) it was cool we seen a couple of Gators and of course Gaint Rats. Your gonna have to wait for the pics to be shocked. Im not joking these things were huge the size of beavers.
New Orleans was great. Defo will make a trip back there some day.
Memphis on then other hand, didnt like it at all. Jim (one of Johns friend) laughed at us when we said we were going there and we really could understand why.. until we got there.
Theres absolutely nothing to do there, apart from eat and drink, and even those options arent great because on the way too and from the bars and restaurants you get harrassed by the 9000 homeless people living there looking for money.
The only thing i can say is that Graceland is worth the visit it was amazing, to see where the King lived, but that takes a day and when that day is over i say get the hell out of there.
I havent got the camera with me right now so stay tuned for the photos. Wait till you see the ones of Graceland, they are great. All Elvis Suits and his cars and everything....... the King is Alive.
