Engrish, Japanglish, whatever you call it, the version of English used on Japanese signs is quite unique, and famous the world over. I suppose it's hard to criticize; after all, how much Japanese do we have on our signs? But sometimes, the translations were just too priceless to pass up.

Like most people, I had fun photographing the wacky, the humourous, and the just plain odd. Here's a photo album containing the best of the best - or the worst of the worst, depending on your perspective. Enjoy!
