Despite the counting issues, we arrived in Toronto a little bit early. Exhausted, we all made our way to the domestic terminal, where we attempted to get onto earlier flights to Montreal. There were a lot of rushed goodbyes in the airport, but I don't remember too much of them. We were all placed on standby for the next available flight, and when they called our names, we barely had enough time to rush to the pay phones to call home to ask our families to pick us up earlier. Oh, and we asked them to bring winter coats. It was February, in Montreal, after all.
