Home again, home again

It was a long trip home. We got up at o-dark-thirty and dragged our luggage across all of Venice to catch a bus to the airport. At the airport we learned that apparently you're only allowed to carry a bag on if it's 8 kg or less in weight (???). Whatever, we checked our bags.
The trip home was uneventful, however, if you're connecting through C terminal in Frankfurt, my advice is to get your food before clearing security because there is nothing but a sandwich cart and some vending machines in that terminal.
It was a wonderful trip, and we are glad to be home. Our cats are also happy to see us. We'll have one more day before we have to get back "into" our lives, but the experience of Italy will be with us forever.
