We got a boat to take us to Amantani via the floating islands early in the morning. The Lake is incredible, its a 4000m altitude but its boiling hot, it stretches further than the eye can sea which gives it a sea/ocean type of feeling.

Visited the floating islands briefly.

Met some people on the boat to Amantani (French mainly with; Julien, Gaiten, Marco, Anais, and Mathilde but also an Argentinian (Victor) and a Spaniard (Xavi).

On the boat Xavi offered to make dreadlocks in olive's hair and within a half an hour of leaving the floating islands there were 4 pairs of hands working on olive's hair. This lasted all the journey to Amantani (2h30).

Upon arrival had lunch at our the local's house where me, olive and Xavi were staying, then visited Amantani (pachamama et pachatata - which of course are on top of the two highest mountains of the island). After dinner we gave rdv to the people from the boat at the centre place to drin a beer. Got there at 8pm and everything was closed. Fortunat Mathilde and Victor lived at a bar owners place, who kindly opened his bar. Today woke up early and went to Taquile where we visited a bit (climbed 500 non uniform steps up between the īportī and the center at over 4000m altitude). On the way back down we went for a quick swim in the Lake, which was surprisingly warm and took the boat back to Puno. Leaving in two hours for Cusco where we will stay 2-3 days before coming back down to bolivia.
