Last night's beds were so comfy that we just couldn't get up this morning. Just as well anyway since the river sledging wasn't on until the afternoon.
We went to Puzzling World after we checked out at the last possible opportunity. The faces that follow you are cool & the tilted room was mad. There was another mad room where to looked like a giant at one end & tiny at the other end & you got to see it on video after a 2 min delay. The maze was just on the border of frustrating - our legs were sore from yesterday and it was hot (the sun was actually shining!!) so we ended up taking an "emergency" exit out once we got to all 4 corners.
Sledging was brillian! Like a water park but with real eddys & whirlpools & rocks & rapids. The 5km section we did was Grade 3 to Grace 3+. I got stuck in an eddy on the 1st run and it took me 2 goes to get out of it. I did much better on the 2nd run though - I managed to keep pretty much on track which meant that I actually kept going past the leader - he had to keep dragging me back. We all survived anyway!
Then it was on to Queenstown for the nicht - would've been too much to try getting all the way to Milford Sound like we planned at first.
