Hello everyone, it is now Saturday and, although I don't have new pictures to put up, I wanted to keep you all in the Seana loop. Classes are done for the week (obviously), and now I get to have fun at the Ursula Hall (Ursies) weekend. Thursday night there was 'a night at the races' where we all dressed up (well, everyone else did) for an English style faux horse race. We then each got $5000 dollars in play money and bet on a horse for 5 races. I got really tired after a while and just gave my money away. However, some people I know came out with a couple real dollars, so that was cool. Yesterday we had a car scavenger hunt that I didn't partake in, but it sounded like fun. You had to find a bunch of stuff in Canberra and either take a picture of it or bring it back. Also, anyone in our hall who shaved his/her head got 500 block points (a block is the hall you live in basically)...I think one girl and one guy did it. If you ask me, the girl should've gotten more than 500 points.

Anyway, the scavenger hunt was followed by a huge bonfire where I learned how to make a 'damper'. It's really basic dough made from flour, water and salt. You wrap it around the end of a stick, wrap that in tin foil, and roast it over the fire. All in all, it was pretty cool except that Kieran (from New Zealand) and my bread things fell off the stick. So, we had to create a sort of large tong thing to get them out, and by that time, the bread was all dirty. Did that stop me from eating it? No siree...haha...it was yummy. :) [p.s. marshmallows don't taste the same here. they're too sweet, and THEY DON'T HAVE GRAHAM CRACKERS! How crazy is that? So, needless to say, there were no s'mores to be seen...which stinks.] After the bonfire a couple of us played a N-64 Mario Kart tournament....and boy do I suck at Mario Kart. It was funny though, so it was worth it.

As for today, Natasja and I went in to Civic to get some things for my ceramic studio like sponges, buckets, etc. We also ate at this place with a sushi train...it was so neat! You sit around a table (like at Snackville Junction in Evergreen Park), and grab whatever kind of sushi you want. This place was all non-fish eater friendly as well with beef and chicken wrapped in rice instead of fish. So then, you take your plates up when you're finished and, depending on the color of the plate, you pay accordingly. It was really affordable, and kind of fun. I look forward to going back. Tonight we have our Ursies bus bar crawl, so that should be exciting. I have to do some homework at some point, but I'm still getting all wrapped up in the activities/adjusting and whatnot. So we'll see. It will get done eventually I'm sure. I hope you all have a great weekend! love. seana.

Fun!
A sushi train? That's amazing! I love it!

I have homework to do, too, but I...feel like putting it off. Seriously, summer classes are terrible. I will never take one again (I technically can't because next summer I'll hopefully be graduated).

In Australia do they have Barley Water? I'm having some right now. It's like...orange flavored...water....with barley? I dunno, it's kinda good. My dad got it from some website or something, I don't even know. It comes as a liquid concentrate and then you have to water it down, but on the back it says that for toddlers you must make sure that it's watered down even more. Very strange, but sweet without a strong acid tang like orange juice.

Today is Katie's block party and tomororw is some sort of Erin/Steve/Softball thing. You will be sorely missed. :(

Feather boas,
Angela

PS-- For a while we had ants, but we couldn't tell where they were coming from. Turns out they were coming from a box of honey nut cheerios. I'm not sure if they came IN the box or what...but I was severely pissed off that I couldn't have HNC. Just thought you'd like to know...

ALTHOUGH i would have schooled you in mario cart. welp, hope ya figure out what you're gonna do for your ceramics project. if you're stumped, just do me. and how much you love me. thats emotion enough. love you!

Seems like we're all adjusting
Hi kid. It was nice talking to Janet, Annie and Erin in the last few days. Almost everyone starts their
conversation to me with 'SO how's Seana?' or 'Just read Seana's latest blog entry'. But that's a good thing. Today (or yesterday for you) the weather is picture perfect. Pop and I actually have nothing planned so he's planning something for tonight. Well
take care of yourself and we'll be chatting.
Love,
Your favorite mommo (and of course your computer challenged Pop)

Re: bring the pain
Yeah, I don't so much do the whisky. Perhaps tequila and lots of beer was enough to show the Aussies up.

Re: Fun!
I do love your random comments. From this day forward I will be referring to Honey Nut Cheerios as HNC....it's kind of like Neal Patrick Harris...oh NPH!
