G'day all, today I had my first ceramics workshop...and boy was it overwhelming! Seriously, you would assume I'd never seen a clay studio before in my life. I seem to not fit in somewhere between the first year students, and the advanced students. Needless to say, these people know a whole lot more about ceramics than yours truly. So, for tomorrow, I need to have a project proposal, and I'm really stumped as to what I want to explore. Something to do with figures...and emotion...blech...something. Anyway, last night was fun. We had Christmas in July where we ate ham, turkey, sweet potatoes, and all other yummy holiday food. After wine and dinner, we went to Shooters, the scuzzy bar that sponsors our dorm (yes, a bar sponsors our dorm...yay Aussies!) and danced a bit to bad 90s music (which included Wham...wake me up before you go go, The Proclaimers...you know, that 500 miles one, and YMCA. It was cool, but I still haven't caught on to what drinks are called here...so I just stuck to Corona (however, they don't put lime in it here, they put lemon). Oh, also, I figured out that the reason I keep doing the 'I don't know which way you're walking face to face awkward dance' with Aussies on campus/in Civic is because they drive on the other side of the road. Go figure! I mean, it makes sense, but you would never think about stuff like that. Also, they call Catsup, tomato sauce here. And they don't have hot dogs....:( You all know how gravely that affects me. Well, no plans for tonight other than getting myself together for class. I hope you enjoy the pictures..they're pretty hilarious I think. cheers.

I would never dare to try and top that masterpiece of a costume. You're right, it will forever be etched in my mind...long live the bee indeed.
So...let me get this straight.
They have a 'Christmas Bear?' Instead of Santa? Or Father Christmas?
...
WTF MATE?!
Re: So...let me get this straight.
No no, it's just the mascot for our dorm...they still have Santa. Don't get your panties in a bunch. :)
