It's been a couple of days since my last entry, sorry about that. I was becoming frustrated with not having internet in my room and, therefore, wanted nothing to do with the internet at all. I still don't have internet in my room (so no AIM...sorry Sparklers..I'll get it soon), so that's frustrating, but otherwise, things are good. Today was the first sunny day since I've been here, so that's good. Yesterday I was getting a little homesick, and the weather sure wasn't helping matters. I have started classes...woo. Yesterday was screenprinting workshop, and today was contemporary asian art. Both classes seem like they will be challenging, but very interesting and beneficial nonetheless. Tomorrow I will have my ceramics workshop as well as the same thursday and friday. I look forward to using the beautiful facilities there, and hope to meet more people. I went to a fantastic Thai restaurant today with Jo (from Scotland), and had Praram chicken...mmm....then tonight is Christmas in July here at Ursies. I am dressing as Rudolph. I fashioned some antlers out of paper and colored pencils, and I intend on adding some other visual treats as well...hee hee hee...pictures to follow. Last night we had a welcome dinner for all new residents here at Ursies. It was business casual (smart casual in Aussie), and we had cocktails before a dinner of Prawns (appetizer/entree in Aussie), Lamb and Eggplant, and Passionfruit pie for dessert....mmmm....it was delicious. Did I mention that I like food, by the way? The rest of the week we have all kinds of other dorm fun planned, so I will keep you updated on those happenings. I think that's all for now. Enjoy the pics, and keep the comments coming! I swear, I will get my internet working soon! peace.

Hi!
You look so beautiful in that dinner party picture! Don't let your bird know you've been photographing other birds, I think it might get very jealous. I'm happy you're having fun, don't let the homesickness get you down, we don't have kangaroo here so what's the point? By the way, you haven't seen one yet, have you?

Magpie, eh?
I hear Magpies love shiney things. Watch out. It'll steal your shinies.

And yes, I agree, you do look very pretty in that dinner party picture.

That's amazing that parrots just chill around out there...all we have are friggin sparrows. Lame.

How far ahead are you guys? Like, if it's 10:35am here, in Chicago, then what time is it there in Canberra? Because it's 10:35am here and I want to know what you were doing at this point in time.

I hope you enjoy that desktop I sent you. Because personally, I love it. I think my favorite is the dog with the pink boa.

My aunt also just sent me a text message that I think I'll share with you: 'Here is some drivel to ponder: Inspire to greatness by maximizing your efforts.' Whatever that means........................

Bacon and Eggs,
Angela

PS-- Why don't you have the internet in your room? Just wondering.

G'Day
Hi Seana:
It's been hot, hot, hot here. 50's would be welcome
for a bit.
Our days are not as exciting as your's. We are busy
feeding the wild life--incliding 2 baby ducks.
We enjoy your blogs. Have fun, enjoy your classes and
know we love you.

Re: Magpie, eh?
Um..it's 14 hours ahead so, if it's 10:35am there, it would be 12:35 midnight here...yeah, I think that's it. So morning or night correspondence works. I don't have internet because ????? I keep getting an error message. Hopefully I will have a friend try to fix it today. Thanks for the posts!

It looks so menacing cause it IS a scary mothereffer. Seriously, I did think about coming home. It was like ~oh, eatin' a sandwich (of course)....flappy noise...uh??
