We'd told the campsite lady our general route and she told us the best way to get to it through Switzerland. Turns out she was absolutely bang on!!! We were heading across the Swiss Alps but we really didn't know that until we started to climb the mountain ranges. The scenarry leading up to the climb was outstanding....towering mountains, deep as valleys, little villages tucked in the hills, the sound of raging waterfalls and cow bells filling the air. We were winding our way up the range into the mist.....ala Mauna Kea in Hawaii. This time round however, we couldn't see 3ft in front of the car so it was pretty slow going. We reached the summit at a snails pace and popped out of the cloud at around 2500m up to snowfields and alpine villages. The views up there were probably the best we have ever taken in.....absolutely amazing! After getting our breath back we legged it across the road for a quick frolick in the snow....jandals and all! The descent turned into another ascent weaving our way around side and over the mountains. Awesome!!

We hit an alpine resort (obviously not too much wintersport going on this time of year though) for lunch and set off.....next stop the mighty Liechenstein!!! This little badboy is worthy of a seperate blog....

Liechenstein being 25km in width we were soon in Austria and then then pretty much straight back into Germany to clock up the 4th country in the day! The destination Fussen....which is where we are now!
