We're beginning a new adventure....and sadly getting close to the end of the trip. We rented a car in Sydney and drove about 2 hours nort west to the Hunter Valley. This is where much of Australia's wine comes from. Marge drove up and adapted admirably to driving on the left. We're staying at a place called The Table....check out the website if interested (google 'the Table Hunter valley'). It is run by a guy named Malcolm and it is like staying in Provence. He cooked us a fantastic meal last night consisting of homemade duck liver pate with bread and citrus olives, then a beet and horseradish soup followed by paella just heaped with prawns, calamari, chicken, chorizo and fish. I could barely stuff in the tiramisu for dessert. Breakfast this mornign consisted of parridge with cream, honey and cinnamon then free range eggs, toast and back bacon with mushrooms. I highly recommend the place the next time you are here.

This morning we started the wine tasting and I must say it is difficult to spit out these amazing wines. Unfortunately I'm driving so we really have to limit our experience to tasting. The weather has certainly improved since we left Sydney to go to Cairns and we're now sitting at 27 degrees.

I am still having lots of problems uploading pictures so again, I will try once I get to Sydney or Melbourne. Must sign off as we have 2-3 more wineries to do!
