Gladstone,Town Of 1770 and Agnes Water
3rd December
Gladstone/Town Of 1770/Agnes Water
We left Biloela and headed east to Gladstone where we were going to drop the car off before heading to 1770 and Agnes Water however we discovered that we would have to wait until half 8 that night or pay $300 for a taxi so we phoned the car hire company and arranged to hire the car for an extra day and drop it off in Bundaberg.
Arrived at 1770, had a quick drive around and walked around the headland at the end of the bay, pretty amazing views from there! 1770 was a lot smaller than I'd thought though, and although it was a boany place there didn't look like a lot tae do so we headed back to Agnes Water, a bit bigger with a few shops, a pub and an excellent beach, checked in to the Mango Tree Motel very close to the beach and then lounged around until tea time. Headed up to the pub later on and had an tae followed by a few pints, when we got back we sat around speaking to some fine Israeli backpackers that were staying in the room next to us and by the end of the night we had Adam the Israeli wearing Ewan's Fair Isle ganzie, got a good photo o it as weel!.
