We stopped in Townsville long enough to visit Magnetic Island, a 20 minute ferry ride away. We planned to do some snorkelling but the water was a little churned up and there was a risk that stingers were still about. We still had a lovely day swimming safely within a stinger net, walking in the forests and lounging on the beach. Open the photos for a bit more info on them.
