Touchdown in Bangkok!

Finally touched down after 11hour flight stuck between two niserable fat blokes who didnt say a word the whole time and farted all the way through.Great flight though with Qantas plenty of leg room and in arm rest was tv with playstation games and watched Jarhead.Had booked a hotel near the Don Muang airport to get a good nights sleep,bit expensive at 1,500baht but as knew i wouldnt sleep on plane wanted to just crash for one night in comfort before hitting khao san road!
the first and only night of aircon rooms-only thing was it was next to a 12lane freeway and under the airport runway!
Got up the next morning and got taxi into Khao San road=first experience of con artists and it was the hotel i was stopping at!said theyd call me a taxi and as i walked outside he was already there!?He asked for 500baht,but as soon as i asked for discount he jumped to 400!!? Eventually setttled on 300 and that was the start of being on my toes with pricing and rip offs!one couple i met later said theyd paid 1,000bht to get from the airport!
SO got dropped off at the famous Khao San road,at 1pm,30degrees with backpack on hunting up and down for a room.
After getting hassled and stopped every step of the way dived into the Lamphu guest house,nice clean off the road with fan and bathroom down the hall!

alright boy?!!! it's the cat talking to you loud and clear toad bouy!!!! hows the trip going then? i'm currently having to use the works computer to contact you on. i've not long changed jobs as tnt fucked me off for the last time. i work for amtrak now and alls going ok. dunno when i'll get to talk to you next as we're quite busy here. got your post card, and i'm not surprised you're working your... show all
