We checked out at 8am and asked the concierge to get us a cab to the airport. Eighteen minutes, and a slightly panicked Paula, later a nice pink cab arrived and took us to Don Mueang airport for our flight to Krabi.

The qeues were long but thankfully fast moving and we were soon at gate 41 browsing through shit souvenirs and snake skin handbags. There was no booze in sight which made for another sober flight and pretty soon we were landing in Krabi which was disappointingly overcast.

We hopped on a very busy bus to Krabi Pier to catch a ferry to Koh Phi Phi and with seasickness pills washed down with a couple of cans of Chang we were on our way.

When we reached Tonsai Pier on Koh Phi Phi it was manic so we reverted to our usual trick of going to the nearest cafe for a beer and watch the touts bother other tourists. So many hotels were displaying 'Full' signs that we were glad we'd booked in advance. We walked past Island Divers, Vikki's old dive shop and onto the White 2 located right in the centre of all the pubs and clubs.

We checked in and dumped our stuff in the room which was basic and overpriced but clean and well located, we then took time to relax - both still felling pretty ill from the flu bug we had picked up in Bangkok.

We went out to a restaurant to grab some food. more for the sake of taking our anti-malarials than anything, and then returned to the room hoping that the next day would bring wellness and a shining sun.
