Thank God for the ensuite!!!

The 'snail' tablets had a somewhat detrimental effect on Paula's stomach. We attempted breakfast and then booked our next transfers and excursions for the coming days (trying to be a bit more organised) - these included elephant conservation and hill tribe trekking.....big ears and long neck tribe - Paula told Vikki she would taken as their Queen!

After maintaining a reasonably proximity to toilets we decided the time was right to venture out and explore Chiang Mai - we concluded there were lots of temples.......

The old city, being surrounded by a square moat, was fairly easy to navigate and we found a good place to eat down by the eastern wall (with Christmas trees!).

Vikki, knowing Paula wasn't feeling well, and confined to only drinking water, ordered two meals and ate them hungrily in front of the queasy Paula in her 'iddle widdle' bamboo swing!

We explored some more and decided to head back to the guesthouse to get some rest ahead of the elephant walks tomorrow.
