So much has happened since the last entry it's almost not worth mentioning.

So I won't, as the majority of it isn't necessarily road-related. Though spending a whole month researching and setting up a small freelance role and catching up with some quality individuals like my old mate Podge in South Yarra, enjoying the mass of attractions at the 2008 festival in St kilda and attending a couple of overly-emotional alcohol-fuelled birthday parties involving live thrash metal bands screaming bloody murder in the back room of a modest residential home in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne, and a full-on on pool-throwing incident resulting in fisticuffs and an onslaught of verbal, not to mention the gripping thirty minute ride in the early hours of one Thursday morning through native Victorian forest in a black pimp-like Holden going flat out through mud and tree roots in the manner of a professional rally experience but not, really, as the the driver in question had sunk enough beers to settle a small ox and wanted to get home 'the back way' 'cos it was just more fun..

All part and parcel of Aussie life..

But I'll leave it there as I'm just off out the door. The bike is loaded and purring all tiger-like in the driveway. In a couple of hours I'll be in Port Melbourne boarding the ferry to Tasmania with my old mucker... Chicken. That's right. It's been a whole year and now she's back for more chapters in the wild and wonderful world of Woz wickedness. Bring it on.

Next stop: Devonport, Tasmania. The crossing's about eleven hours so there should be plenty of time for a catch-up cuddle and a few coldies at the ferry bar..
