As I write this I don't expect anyone to believe me. I can hardly believe it myself. Unfortunately after a few minutes of waking up this morning, I realised that I hadn't been dreaming. I can't even believe I'm writing this but once again, I cannot walk. My right foot again. Can't move it at all - not up, not down, nor side to side. Either side of the ligament at the top of my foot where it meets the ankle is absolutely throbbing and excruciating to the touch. Where the hell has that come from? I have done nothing, had no strange exercise, not bumped it, bashed it, bruised it or anything. Sinead has promised me whole-heartedly that she has not been performing minor operations on me during my sleep. I have absolutely no idea what's going on - just know how frustrating it is.

After breakfast, I just sat with my throbbing hoof up on the bench in the chillout room, completely confused. Traoine nipped in to Kaiapoi town and bought a tubular support bandage for it, the same as the one Sinead's wearing on the opposite foot (but mine has to be a pink one doesn't it!) I painfully put it on and sat back down. I cannot for the life of me work it out.

The girls left us hobbling around the camp site shortly after lunch to head off for Jen's 'Akaroa Experience', and we've since been sitting here in the same place for the last few hours, Monica making more formulas and conclusions as to our average daily expenditure on breakfast, lunch and dinner, while I've been finishing the final update of the ole' Travelogue. A very strange day on the whole, especially as people on the site are continuously asking 'what on earth heppened'. All I can say is 'dunno, I really don't know'. I really don't!
