After picking up the trekkers and the ice-climbers from the base of Frans Josef this afternoon it was off to Haast, more or less the last stop on the West coast before the Fiordlands. Luckily, we had a quick stop at the Fox Glacier to have a brief look and to take a few pics. There was a point that you could see it in the distance without having to trek all the way up there so it made for a good stop for those of us who didn't get to see Frans Josef.

Haast was about as exciting as Baz Vegas but achieves it's purpose well - a much needed rest stop and recharge before heading further South and more inland. So tomorrow we're off to Wanaka, and according to our driver 'Wozza', we're in for a treat!
