Scott and I landed in the most bizarre campground near Portland. It was a redneck retiree RV park/ /family campground/night club.

I can not begin to describe what we witnessed, but I will try.
Here are a few highlights.
1. there was karoke( mostly little girls singing Karlee Ray Jepson songs) but as the adults got to drinking there were a few Elvis covers and some bad country songs sang.
2. there was a tractor pulling people around in a wagon.(not sure why)
3. The couple next to us who has had a seasonal site for 20 years got into a screaming match.
We were later invited to their fire for a drink. We are fairly certain they are professional alcoholics! Gerry and Robin were in love with my "accent" and had a few goo stories to tell us.
4. At 11:00 am as I was washing the dishes, an old lady in a gold cart drove by with the Easter bunny. Apparently, it is Easter on August 3rd in Portland.

It was an interesting stay to say the least.

We toured Boston yesterday and it was wonderful!
Lola and Mabel were a hit with everybody. However, to be honest it is getting a little old having every other person stop us and want to pet the dogs, take pictures with the dogs, and our favourite is the "settle a bet for me and my wife...she thinks those are____ and I say they are____ dogs"
We have decided to make t-shirts for us that say " yes my dogs are friendly. Yes you can pet them. To settle your bet, they are English Mastiffs.

The funniest part of yesterday was when we were watching street performers in Boston and the one guy was was dancing like a velociraptor and got right into Lola's face(as she was laying down). Lola bounced up, barked and lunged at him. You never saw a guy jump back to quick in all your life. The whole audience laughed and the guy's group just about peed themselves from laughing so hard.

We stayed at a state camp last night only 14 dollars. Scott was super pumped at the budget accomodations. They campground was actually full, but the nice guy at the gate gave us one of the ranger's sites.

We also found out through our new best friends, Gerry and Robyn(the alcolholics) that New Hampshire is the place to buy cheap booze. It is so cheap that as you are driving on the freeway just before the Massachusettes border, there is a huge Alcohol outlet store. The place was enormous and crazy busy. Scott and I thought we would check it out and it was worth the stop. We got 4, 40 ounce bottles of Rum, tequila, and gin for a grand total of 48.95!!! That should last us a few months!

We plan to travel through Cape Cod today. We are not sure where we will stay tonight. We only want to drive for 3-4 hours at the most.

We are doing fine, the sun is out again!
Hope all is well at home,

Kerry & Scott
