Our Fifth and final country of South America, as I only count our future transit through Brazil on our percent of the world-covered calculation. Well unknown to us it was a Chile Holiday so the city was pretty dead with most things (banks, museums, shops, etc.) closed. Thus to entertain ourselves we walked around the city trying to fight off the harsh wind and get some errands (ATM, Post Office, Internet, Grocery Store) done.
We did stop in Plaza Munoz Gamero to do some craft shopping of our usual Christmas Ornament, shot glass and our first mask purchase in a long time. Before leaving we took the tourist picture with the Lucky Foot of a man on the monument commemorating the 400th anniversary of Magellan's voyage.
Our biggest highlight, although sickly sad, was buying a box of wine because we could sneak it through security as they only look for wine bottles on the X-ray machine. Now this was more an adventure and trying to buck the system by sneaking it on and not paying the $35 per bottle they charge here. Of course I write this not having tested our results of our three dollar 1.5 liter box of wine, but I still feel good about myself for getting it on the boat!
