Wise Old Man
An old man in line asked me where I had been and I told him that we had just started our trip in China. So he told me that if I wanted to know what China was like 1000 years ago, I should go to Xi'an. If I wanted to understand China 500 years ago go to Beijing. And if I want to see what China will be like in the next 500 years go to Shanghai!
The Highlights
Shanghai is clearly the economic star of China with its growing financial district and the influx of Western Businesses and its employees. But our visit their focused more on the ancient history of Shanghai and China.
Yu Garden
Was built during the Ming era and is the central point of Old Town and the main tourist area. The pictures speak for themselves.
Chinese Acrobats
An amazing show of pure strength and trust. Hard to explain if you haven't seen it, thus if you ever get the chance do it.
