We left a beautiful day in Cairns to head to Australian's Famous Outback and Ayers Rock and the main arrival point is Alice Springs. Alice Springs is the largest town in the Northern Territory, and as we drove through it we realized that there just wasn't a lot of people in the Northern Territory as the town was pretty small.

Well, as I said above we were only going to pass through it on our way to Ayers Rock so all we had to fill was an afternoon and evening. Thus through the recommendation of our booking agent in Barossa Valley we went to the Desert Park just outside of town. It was really interesting as we saw a live bird show and viewed an extensive nocturnal animal exhibit. Overall its was probably the best animal park we had been to so far. For dinner we went to a nice little outside café that was pretty good, even though, you had to walk through a pretty sketchy part of town.
