After nearly a week in Switzerland, Scooter, Molly, and I headed up to Germany on a 6 hour train.  We were fortunate enough to ride in style all the way up there in our own little room with 6 seats.  When we arrived that evening in Kaufering, Germany, Henning was there to meet us.  From that night until the day we left, we experienced nonstop eating and resting and just enjoying our time with the von Jagows family.  Scooters aunt Gabi is such a great cook and we sampled Swiss and German dishes.

The days kind of blur together because of the near drunken stupor we were in due to being constantly full of good food, but I seem to remember touring the YWAM *Youth with a mission* castle where Henning is interning and where Mattias and Gabi had worked for 18 years.  Then we went with Henning to see the Oktoberfest festivities that evening as well as the Olympic stadiums where the infamous situation occurred with the Israeli athletes.  All of Thursday night and for a few days following, Scooter was stomach sick, so Molly and I headed out to Konstanz, Germany to see the village where her Great-grandfather was born.  It was a four to five hour train ride so we were gone most of the day.  On Saturday Henning, Molly, Scoot, and I went to a going away breakfast for one of Hennings friends.  It was really cool to enter another German house and eat the traditional Bavarian breakfast of boiled white sausages and pretzels.  I had to get over my dislike *almost fear of* unknown sausages very quickly in Germany.  After the breakfast we picked up Hennings brothers and a friend of Hennings *a very pretty girl, whom I teased Henning about all day* and headed out to Oktoberfest.

**Oktoberfest:  We had a really fun time!  We went for about three hours and had our fill at the end.  In between fits of rain, Hennings friend, Christina, and I rode on a roller-coaster and we all had a beer in a beer garden but we were ready to head home since we were all soaked from the cold rain.  Most people were dressed up in traditional Bavarian clothes *Lederhosen for the men and dirndls for the women* and it was so cool to see the colorful dresses and men in formfitting leather pants.  It seemed that everyone had turned up for the fun, old people and young people and families with little children.  Needless to say, we went back to Hennings house feeling very happy and content.

Sunday was a rare beautiful day in southern Germany so Hennings parents drove all of us to see Neuschwanstein castle.  This castle was set up into the start of the Alps and is surrounded by beautiful forests and a waterfall.  After our tour we stopped along the road home at an Alpine Slide which was fun.  Everyone made fun of me as I was the slowest to get down the mountain.  :)  Molly left bright and early on Monday morning after a fun and full week together and Scooter and I went with Gabi to have tea with Scooters other aunt, Christina and her family.  It was so nice to meet a few more people in Scooters family and we had a great time despite the language barrier.

Scooter and I left on Tuesday morning for Vienna.  Ill have to write about Vienna later on, as I have taken up a lot of time on the hostel computer.  Also, please excuse the lack of punctuation...this keyboard is so weird.
