Ok, although its my last night in Roma I have so much to fill you all in on. Again, thanks to the number of folks who keep logging in and sending me emails and posting msgs! Over 545 this month!!

Well, Italy is fantastic but there are many tourists traps that are somewhat inevtiable to avoid. For instance, everywhere you eat charges a nice cover charge of a friendly 2 euro. ůsome places will have reasonable food rates only to find you pay 6 euro for a diet coke, which with the exchange rate is 8 dollars. Yes, we had a lunch where we unknowinlgy drank 16 dollars worth of diet cokes. And the taxis, I got ripped off big time in greece, but here they rip you off to. not as bad, but what can you do. we have been walking so much these past few days, and its been so hot that you dont feel very hungry.

anyway, firenze is amazing! We visited the academia and saw the very impressive David by Michelangelo and also visited the museo de Ufizzio where we saw many paintings and sculptures from many famous artists which I cant recall right now. We also visited the doumo although we didnt go in becuase the lines are forever long as celia notes its worst than disney land. To avoid this we paid a few extra euro to make reservations and had specific times to go in. We also visited the Pitti palace which belonged to the Medicis and natuarlly hostes many works of art. There are many more amazing things we did which I cant possibly tell today. On of our days we also took a side trip to San gimigano which is a small medieval town about 72 km away. the have these 12-14 towers left with a beautiful church and we climbed the highest tower which gave you incredible views of the tuscan valley where you can see endless villas with grape vineyards and olive trees groves ! It was so beautiful and i will psot pictures later as i was told by the internet guy here i cant plug in my card reader. We also climber the tower next to the doumo in florence which also gave us breathtaking views of florence.

Again, the beauty of florence and tuscany is quite impressive and considering florence is where the renassaince began, it contains so much art and culture that is truly amazing place.

now let me tell you about rome.
