We got up, took up camp, and were finished showering and out of the campgrounds at 8:00 am. We headed down US 16 south, and our first stop was Thompson Falls trail which was 1.3 miles. Then we did .7 miles to see Crystal Cascades. This stop was at the visitor center where a lot of people are going to the top of Mt. Washington. It was 4.1 miles and I thought about it for a minute, but decided to do more small trails instead of one big one. Next we did 1.4 miles Lost pond trail, followed by .4 miles Glen Falls Trail. Then we did a 1.1 miles loop at a place called Rocky Gorge. The we did .65 miles on a trail called Rail and River. Then .7 miles Sabbaday Falls trail. This was probably the coolest of the waterfalls that we saw. It had caused some major erosion and you could see where the falls had probably been in the past. Last we did a 1.05 mile Discovery trail. It was talking a lot about reforestation, and how the forest services chooses to cut trees. Next we headed south on highway 3 and thought that we could find someplace to eat but it wasn't until West Campton that we found a place. We ate at the Sunset Grill and both had pasta, then we headed to Dave’s house the guy that we would be couchsurfing with. He is a runner and had locked his keys in his car, so Miles took him to get his car. We got caught up on journaling, entered coordinates for geocaching tomorrow and were to bed at a decent hour.
