. We toured around there for a few hours, but were really tired so we went back to our place around 6 and rested up/showered and then met up at the Old Post Office for the Pub Crawl. There was an organized strike going down the street where the pub crawl was. It was so scary because we had no idea what was going on and there were probably 50 cars full of 12 police each. We went a round about way to find the pub crawl stop and eventually got going. We went to four different bars and a club. Now, the only thing that disgusted me about Germany is that they were allowed to smoke in the bars. The cool part about Germany is that everytime you were leaving they offered you a "to go" cup. The one rule was that you were not able to bring your drink into the next bar. The next morning we went on a hop on/hop off bus tour that showed us 90 different spots for 10 euro! It was an awesome bus ride. We went shopping for a bit after that and then back to our hostel to get ready for the night. To be safe we decided to do the pub crawl again since we knew where we were going. Sunday morning we went roaming around by ourselves and just tried to find cool buildings, etc. We actually found some really cool architechture. After that we just went to a burlesque show which had the biggest stage theatre ever. It was so awesome; we were by far the youngest people in the crowd. Most of the people were 60 and above. After wards we just decided to rest because we had to wake up at 3 AM to catch our flight. To say the least my first European trip was amazing! Berlin was a lot of fun and I would love to go back and visit someday!
We flew in early Friday morning to explore the wonderful world of Berlin, Germany. Getting to our hostel was quite difficult, with the language barrier we had to do a lot of pointing and trying to figure out where we were going. We finally found some people from London and got to the main airport and took a taxi cab from there, which was only five euro. We got settled at our hostel the Eastliner Hostel. The staff was amazing; always helping out with whatever necessary. They had many flyers and pamphlets for us. The lady was knew English and helped us around that crazy city. So Wednesday we went to get food and naturally we had to get a Currywurst with chips (fries). Easily one of the best items of food I have ever experienced. THey put mayo and ketchip together with their fries, but their mayo has a kick to it. It's much different, but it's SO GOOD! Then we decided to go to the Jewish Museum for the rest of the day we had left. We thought that it was going to be more based around the Holocaust, but it wasn't
